St. Louis City will conclude the month of April by hosting the Portland Timbers at Citypark on Saturday in their second MLS encounter.

St Louis City started their US Open Cup campaign in incredible fashion, defeating Union Omaha 5-1 in the third round on Tuesday.

Bradley Carnell's side continues to lead the MLS in goals scored (21), scoring three or more times in three of their four domestic home games this season. They are also yet to concede more than one goal at CityPark in 2023.

Throughout the season, this team have proven to be explosive starters at home, scoring seven times in the first half and leading at halftime in all but one of their home games.

With just one point after five domestic games on the road, Portland Timbers have amassed the fewest points at this stage of the season away from home since 2019, when they claimed the same amount.

Unlike their opponents this weekend, Giovanni Savarese's club has rarely started a game well, with only two goals coming in the first half, one of which came in a 2-1 loss to St Louis at home in March.

Seven of their nine games in 2023 have been decided by a goal or less, with Portland winning only once and going home empty-handed four times.

GOAL brings you everything you need to know about where to watch the game on TV and how to stream it online.
